Gold on this page is a plating, and saying so plainly is more useful than not. Under it is stainless steel, which is the part that carries the load at the clasp and the part that decides whether a chain kinks. No, and no card here says so. It is 14K gold plating over stainless steel. Solid gold at these prices does not exist, and a shop that implies otherwise is telling you something else that is untrue as well. What you are buying is the colour and the finish, over a metal that does the structural work.
How long does the plating on a DAILI gold chain last?
That depends almost entirely on what it rubs against, so no honest figure fits every neck. The wear shows first at the clasp and at the back where a collar sits. Taking it off before a shower and keeping it away from perfume slows it down more than anything else you can do.
