A nose hoop is a ring you can put in without seeing it, and that is most of its appeal. The hinge is on one side and the catch on the other: it swings open, the end finds the hole from underneath, and it clicks shut against the tension of the metal. Seven millimetres hugs the nostril; eight is the size that looks like a hoop in a photograph and clears the crease; nine and ten drop away from the nose and swing. Measure the inner gap of a ring you already wear rather than trusting a picture.
The double hoops on this page are a trick worth knowing about: one ring is bent to double back on itself, so a single piercing wears what looks like two stacked rings. It goes in like an ordinary hoop and needs no second hole. Gauges here run 20G, 18G and 16G, and the heavier wires are the ones that keep their shape: a 20G hoop opened and closed twice a week goes out of round in a season, and a hoop that no longer meets at the catch is a hoop to replace rather than to squeeze.

What diameter DAILI nose hoop fits a nostril?
Seven or eight millimetres for most people, measured across the inside of the ring. Seven sits close against the nostril; eight leaves a little air and is the size most often photographed. Nine and ten hang away from the nose. The card prints the figure; a photograph does not.
How does a DAILI hinged nose hoop close?
It swings open on the hinge and the free end seats into a notch with a click you can feel through your fingers. Press the two ends together rather than pushing them past each other, and stop at the click. A hoop that will no longer click has been opened too far and lost its tension.
Can a DAILI double hoop be worn through one piercing?
That is what it is cut for: the wire doubles back on itself so a single hole carries what looks like two rings. It goes in like an ordinary hinged hoop. It is heavier than one ring, so a hole that is newly settled will feel it more than an old one will.
