Length is the whole decision here, and it is easier to settle with a tape than with a photograph. Sixteen inches sits at the base of the throat on most necks and reads as a choker; eighteen inches falls on the collarbone and is the length most single pendants are cut for; twenty-two inches drops below it and is the one to layer under a shorter chain. Every chain here carries a two-inch extender, so a sixteen becomes an eighteen when you want it to, and the layered sets come as two or three chains on one clasp that can be worn together or taken apart and worn one at a time. The metal underneath is stainless steel or 925 sterling silver, and the gold ones are 14K gold plating over it, which is a coating and wears like one at a collar.

Can a DAILI layered necklace be worn as separate chains?

What is a DAILI gold chain made of underneath?
Stainless steel on most of this shelf and 925 sterling silver on part of it, with 14K gold plating over the top. The card names the metal underneath, which is the part that matters if a chain has ever reacted with your skin, and the part that decides whether the clasp lasts.
Will a DAILI chain tarnish?
A plating wears where it is rubbed rather than tarnishing evenly, and on a necklace that means the clasp and the back of the neck first. Taking a chain off before a shower and putting it on after perfume slows it more than any advice about polishing cloths. Sterling silver is the one that tarnishes properly, and it comes back with a cloth.
