Titanium is here for a reason you can feel rather than read: it is a little over half the density of steel, so a post of the same gauge weighs about half as much. In a lobe that is neutral. In a helix, a tragus or a nostril, placements where the piece hangs off a fold of cartilage and reminds you it is there, it is the difference between noticing an earring at four in the afternoon and not. It also holds a mirror polish with no plating to do the work, and that is how so much of the silver-toned half of this catalogue comes to be titanium rather than steel.
What the word does not do is settle anything about skin, and this page will not pretend otherwise. The Association of Professional Piercers names implant-certified titanium to ASTM F-136 as jewellery for an initial piercing, and that certification is a specific document about a specific alloy: it is not a word a catalogue can borrow. What the cards here state is the metal the piece is sold as, and where a piece is plated, the plating and the metal under it. Anything beyond that about a particular person's ears is a question for a dermatologist, not for a shop.

Is DAILI titanium jewellery lighter than steel?
Yes, and appreciably: titanium is a little over half the density of stainless steel, so a post at the same gauge weighs roughly half as much. On a lobe you will not notice. On a helix or a nostril, where the weight hangs off cartilage, most people do.
Is DAILI titanium implant grade?
The cards say titanium, and where the packet says implant grade that is the manufacturer's wording. Implant certification is a specific standard, ASTM F-136, with paperwork behind it, and this site does not claim a certificate it does not hold. The Association of Professional Piercers page linked below explains what the standard covers.
Why is some DAILI titanium gold?
Because it is plated. A gold-toned titanium piece is 14K gold plating over the titanium, and the card names both. The plating gives the colour; the titanium under it gives the weight and the strength. Plating wears where it rubs, which on a nose stud is barely anywhere and on a chain is at the clasp.
