Editorial Policy

Every page on dailistore.com is written by us, and the facts on a card come out of our own product data: the metal, the plating, the gauge, the millimetre run, how the piece closes, what is set in the front, how many are in the box, the tone and the price.

What we do not print

No invented certificates, no laboratory results, no award badges, no customer counts. We do not write that a piece is hypoallergenic, that it will not turn a neck green, or that it is safe for a healing hole: those are claims about a body, and a catalogue is not the place they belong. Where a page states something a reader would be right to check -- what nickel does, how long a navel piercing takes to heal, what the lead limit is on a children's product -- the source is named on the page and linked.

Photographs

A photograph on a card is of the piece in the tone named under it. Diagrams with dimensions, badge rosettes and comparison panels printed into the picture are not published here: a millimetre belongs in a line of the specification where it can be read, and a claim printed into a photograph is still a claim.

Care and healing

Where a card and the person who did the piercing disagree about aftercare, the piercer wins, and where a piercing looks infected the answer is a doctor. The NHS sets out what an infected piercing looks like and says plainly that the jewellery stays in unless a doctor says otherwise. No page on this site is medical advice, and none of them predicts what a piece will do on a particular person.

Prices

Figures come from our own catalogue update and are refreshed on a schedule set out on how we update the catalogue. Where a figure and the till disagree, the till is right.

Corrections
